Harvest Poison Sack[edit]

Requirements: Venomous creature dead for less than 24 hours. Surgical tools and a container to store the venom in

You attempt to remove the venom sacs of a venomous creature. The process itself requires a Survival check with a DC of 15 + the dead creature’s CR.

If proper surgical tools are not available, a dagger or other light slashing weapon can be used, although this imposes a –2 penalty on checks to harvest the venom.

Success 10+: Harvest 3 doses of the creature's venom.
Success 5+: Harvest 2 doses of the creature's venom.
Success: Harvest 1 dose of the creature's venom.
Failure: All the venom held by the creature is lost.
Failure 5-: You are exposed to 1d3 doses of the creature’s venom unless you have the poison use ability.
The harvested poison remains potent for 24 hours, minus 1 hour for every hour the creature was dead before extraction.
