Locations of Note

Main Square

The largest market square of Garrison Market, Main Square has a wide variety of wares, but does tend towards magic items, luxuries and other pricey goods, over vegetables or common-day items. The stall by Bankman street doesn't just sell vegetables, it sells some of the best produce of Willowfield and The Meadow.

  • Resting Inn: This unimaginably named establishment is a large inn at one end of the square, generally catering to merchants and other well-to-do visitors (and their hanger-ons) from outside The City. The proprietor, Nebum Heshem (m, human, old) is an elephant beastkin from The Old Lands, from a civilization that no longer exists. His first priority when The City sets down in a new world is to learn the foods and customs of the new world, and adjust the Resting Inn to cater to his new visitors' tastes.

Crowngate Market

Lying close to the gate to Crownwall, Crowngate market generally concerns itself with weaponry, armor and other items of warfare, whether constructed in The City and exotic items brought in from the outside.

  • Halfaxe Smithy: Dulrig Halfaxe (m, dwarf) is a young prodigy from an old family of dwarven craftsmen from The Old Lands. His items are excellent, but after that was recognized and he opened his new smithy by Crowngate Market, his prices and the waiting list has become quiet obscene for your average citizen.
  • Iron Sons Mercenaries: Lying just of the main market square, the main offices for the Iron Sons is the place where one can go to hire one of the premier mercenary companies of The City.

Bookmonger Street

This street running along The Old Wall outside Whitesquare is full of shops dedicated to knowledge. Booksellers, mapmakers and others have gathered here, and though they serve the academics of Whitesquare, they tend towards literature more useful for less theoretical professions.

  • The Shadow Archive: Roughly at halfway down the street, this narrow building rears three stories high, and is rumored to go several dozen stories below ground. The archive is a repository of texts related to the arcane, occult and divine, with no apparent logic behind what is or is not found in its depths. The proprietor Hesa Ostadov transported the beginnings of the archive from the Gray Lands, and has been continously adding to it since. Rumors has it that the Archive occasionally receives texts before The City actually arrives at the world where it was written.
